Sonya Bridges

Sonya Bridges takes a vision and makes it reality through comprehensive strategic development.  She instinctively identifies opportunities and brings them together into coherent complete ideas, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage.  She is an inspirational leader who through building relationships promotes action that is grounded in sound business practices.  Respected as a credible voice in decision making, finding strategic partners and establishing governance boundaries, Sonya earns a seat at the table.

Currently, as the leader of Application Development and Delivery Services at DFW International Airport, a leader in the travel industry, Sonya delivers some of the most crucial technology.  She manages IT and Digital Strategy & Transformation portfolios of ~$180M.  Along with a deep knowledge of technology and business, she has a passion for the mission.  Under her leadership data is now recognized as an enterprise asset and a critical planned component of every initiative.  Most recently, she was a critical member of 2 high-value cross-functional teams with leadership representatives from finance, human resources, operations and revenue management to develop the 2022 DFW Airport and IT Strategic plans.  She proactively represented the digital, innovation and data agendas as must have directives for the future of the Airport. In addition to her technology leadership, Sonya truly cares about her community.  In 2018, she received the DFW Airport D&I Leader of the Year award for her commitment to mentoring and inclusion. 

Sonya has led business and technical growth in a multitude of industries including Texas Instruments, Lockheed, JC Penney and TXU where her career has progressively advanced.  This rich exposure has enhanced her ability to spearhead major organizational strategic shifts. 

Sonya holds an MBA from Texas Woman’s University and a BS from Southern University A&M.  She completed the prestigious 2021 McKinsey Black Leadership Academy and was recently named to the Advisory Board of Women in STEM Leadership, a group dedicated to empowering the next generation of women leaders in STEM.
