We are excited that you are joining us. Women in STEM Leadership (WISL) was founded with the aim of advancing women into leadership roles in the male dominated field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) from the classroom to the boardroom. WISL meets its vision through a variety of programs such as leadership development, coaching, networking and mentoring opportunities for women at all levels of their careers.

  • Open to large corporations that provide products or services in the STEM industry. As a corporate member you will be able to sponsor WISL events, have your logo displayed on the WISL website, get priority for WISL speaking events, panels and podcasts, have the ability to post jobs on the WISL career center, and you will receive two free tickets to the Annual WISL Leadership Awards.
    For STEM professionals with 10 years or more experience serving in executive, managerial or senior positions. As an executive member you will have the option to serve on the Board of Directors, be able to post open job opportunities on the career center, serve as a speaker/presenter at WISL events, and serve as a mentor to women aspiring to advance into leadership positions.
    Open to professionals currently employed in STEM disciplines or who hold a degree in any of the four STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). As a professional member you will receive discounts on WISL event registration and have access to mentors through our mentorship program.
    Open to freelancers or consultants in a STEM discipline who are self-employed and have no employees.
    Open to women working full-time toward an undergraduate or a graduate degree in STEM and who demonstrate a commitment to a STEM career. Expected graduation date and school name are required for validation.

What does WISL membership include?

Membership comes with a lot of benefits including:

  •  Annual Leadership Awards Banquet, which recognizes women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields and in academia for their outstanding leadership and accomplishments in the areas of thought leadership, entrepreneurship, and technology.

  • WISL Connect quarterly networking and educational programs held on a variety of topics with a diverse array of speakers.

  • Member networking luncheons are held at a variety of locations around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We also offer virtual events for members outside of DFW.

  • WISL women mentoring women which provides coaching and leadership development workshops to aspiring women in STEM leadership.

  • WISL Career Center – our online job resource for registered members that provides access to Job Fairs, Job Postings, and a member’s only job bank to enable our members to obtain employees or find employment.
