Amy Schoemehl

Amy has over 20 years of global Human Resources and Operations leadership experience, with a proven track record of being disciplined, inspiring, and disruptive. She is well versed in talent environments ranging from small 30 people start-up companies that require the nimble Jill Of All Trades to 700,000+ employee organizations requiring laser-focused global executions to unlock or solve grand scale evolutions of their businesses.

Amy’s career began in agency technical recruiting, and after several years she joined Google in-house as an executive recruiter directly supporting Sheryl Sandberg’s global Online Sales and Operations leadership staff; she later transitioned into Operations by leveraging her acquisition experience and applying it to global vendor partnerships. She continued her career by leading global talent acquisition and corporate programs at Twitter, helping the organization prepare for its IPO. Her next opportunity was to oversee high-volume hiring at Amazon, accounting for over 200,000 offers year over year; in addition to talent acquisition, she was responsible for the long tail of employee engagement and development. She then transitioned to Netflix, where she led global Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development for the Customer Service streaming and NetflixCS groups. Amy led the Talent team at Stitch Fix – creating a red thread for the employee experience that spans Acquisition, Operations, and Development.  Having extensive exposure to global operations has given Amy a lens and passion for diverse hiring practices, as well as creating and maintaining culturally inclusive organizations. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric, with a minor in Asian American Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to this role, she is also a board member of ShelterTech and previously served as a board member for E.A. RENFROE and Co.
