DESCRIPTION:Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators! \nWomen in STEM Leadership (WISL) is excited to announce our Python Programming Summer Camp for 5th Graders! \n📍 Location: University of Dallas – College of Business\nCardinal Farrell Hall\, Classroom #205\n📅 Dates: June 8 – June 12\, 2026\n⏰ Time: 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. \nOur WISL Programming Boot Camp for Middle School Children introduces students to the exciting world of coding through Python — one of the most in-demand programming languages today. \nDuring this immersive\, hands-on week\, students will: \n✅ Learn foundational coding concepts\n✅ Build beginner-friendly Python projects\n✅ Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills\n✅ Build confidence in technology\n✅ Engage with STEM mentors \nAt WISL\, we believe exposure creates opportunity. DESCRIPTION:📅 Date: Friday\, September 11\, 2026 📍\nLocation: The University of Dallas\, 1845 E Northgate Dr\, Irving\, TX 75062 \nA 90 minutes Workshop for female STEM college students and early-career women in STEM professions.\n\n\n\nThe workshop will provide emerging female STEM leaders with knowledge and skills in: \n \n\nFoundational leadership principles (the theory of what leadership is)\n\nPrinciples and attributes of STEM leadership\n\nFoundational skills for emerging STEM leaders\, particularly women\n\nA research-informed model of leadership development for women in STEM\nWhat informal and emerging leadership looks like in practice in STEM\n\nSystemic gender barriers in STEM industries that can impact women’s career progression\, along with a model of protective factors (and associated strategies) to help positively navigate these\n\nIdentifying their individual STEM purpose\n\nThe role of resilience as a protective factor for women in STEM and how to intentionally build resilience  \n\nThrough an interactive approach\, the workshop will also assist participants to learn from their peers and build peer networks. \nDon’t miss out on this incredible event!
